How to Add a World Map to Your PYM Square Photobook

Show all the places your story took place on the first page.

Updated this week

What is the World Map in PYM Square Photobooks?

For PYM Square photobooks (15x15, 20x20, and 29x29 cm), you can add a world travel map on the very first page of your book. This map highlights all the locations where the photos in your book were taken, turning your photobook into a visual journey as well as a memory album.

It’s especially useful for travel albums, yearbooks, and family adventures where photos are spread across multiple places.

Before You Start

To get the best result from the map:

  • Use photos that include location data (saved automatically by your phone or added manually in PYM where available).

  • Check that your photos come from the places you want to see represented on the map (e.g. multiple cities or countries). If a photo doesn’t have any location information, it simply won’t be included on the map.

  • If several photos were taken in the same place, the map will group them.

How to Activate the World Map

  1. Open PYM and go to menu Print

    • Tap the option PYM Square and follow the steps

  2. Enable the Travel Map option

    • Look for an option such as “Travel map on first page” or “World map”.

    • Turn this option On to activate the map for this book.

  3. Preview the first page

    • In the photobook preview, the first page of your book will now show a map instead of a regular photo layout.

    • The markers on the map reflect the locations of the photos you’ve included in this particular book.

  4. Complete your order

    • Once you’re happy with the layout and the map, continue through the checkout flow to place your order.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • The feature is optional

  • The world map is currently available for PYM Square photobooks only.

  • No location data = no pin on the map. Those photos will still be printed in the book; they just won’t appear on the map.

  • You can change your mind before ordering: simply disable the travel map option if you prefer a photo layout on the first page.

The world map turns your PYM Square photobook into more than just a collection of photos—it becomes a visual route of your journey, whether that’s a big trip abroad, a year of weekend getaways, or a decade of family memories.

Whenever you’re creating a PYM Square photobook, try enabling the travel map and see your story laid out across the globe on page one. 🌍
