PYM keeps Moments and Albums separate on purpose. Photos you add directly inside an album stay in that album only. They won't show up in your Moments timeline. This lets you add 100 holiday photos to a vacation album without flooding your daily diary.

Moments is your daily photo diary — the photos you add through the daily notification, in order, day by day. Albums are for specific events: a holiday, a wedding, a birthday. Most people use both but they don't want their daily diary filled with event photos.

How to add a photo to both Moments and an Album

Use the + button at the bottom of the screen, not the button inside the album itself.

Tap the + button at the bottom of the screen.

1. Tap the + button at the bottom of the screen.
2. Select your photo.
3. Choose the album you want to add it to.

The photo lands in your Moments timeline and in the album at the same time.

Adding photos inside an album keeps them there.
